Serve with joy
It is said that, when caring for a sick subhuman conditions, Mother Teresa of Calcutta heard a rich man before her, saying: "I would not do such a job for a million dollars." Raising his head and looking at him steadily, responded to Mother: "I do not." From your answer, we can conclude: it is not money that motivates my service, is love.
The second verse of Psalm 100 is charming: "Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. "Not enough to serve, you need to serve with joy. This will signal our true motivation. The money, the fame, the projection and recognition can motivate ourselves to the service for some time, but only love can always motivate us.
Which is to serve the Lord with gladness? Many people think that is sing and gather in a temple. This type of activity may be a reflection of who serves with joy, but it is not necessarily the service which the Psalmist speaks. Serving the Lord is to serve others, whoever he is. There needing someone near us? Serve God if we help.
You now have the opportunity to serve the Lord with gladness. Enjoy it. Having the opportunity to go to the temple, celebrated the service you paid him.
